February’s Plate – The Country Store

February 20th, 2009

plate-february2This month’s 30th Anniversary Plate features The Country Store. This house was a big departure for The Dolls House Emporium, being the first purpose designed 1:12 scale shop that the company had done. It was produced for 16 years before being discontinued in 2005 and was extremely popular as it lent itself to a number of different styles.

Over the years it’s been the inspiration behind creations such as  pubs, general stores, cake shops, bridal shops and a myriad of tea rooms. Do you own a Country Store? Do tell us about your house and what you’ve done with it, we’d love to hear from you.
