St George’s Hill
March 4th, 2009Mrs P Sullivan wrote to us recently with some images of her dolls’ house which she purchased some time ago. Some time ago is a bit of an understatement! Mrs Sullivan has a very grand and elegant dolls’ house called St George’s Hill which was made by us in the 1980s.
With a total of nine rooms, the house is real eye catcher and has a rather interesting feature. The front opening panels are fitted in such a way that the house benefits from internal ledges, allowing furniture to be placed on the window wall.
Mrs Sullivan has enjoyed many dolls’ houses over the years, including a commission from a friend for an Italian Delicatessen, but she says ‘my dolls’ house is still my favourite’.
We’ve added some photos so you can see the magnificent house for yourselves. Do you have an early Dolls House Emporium dolls’ house? We’d love to hear from you if you have.

I was delighted to see the photographs of the Italian Deli on your website. I am the proud owner of this beautiful shop, which was given to me by Mr and Mrs Sullivan as a present for my wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful gift, which I and all my family cherish, so much so that when part of the ceiling of our living room fell down just before last Christmas, the children’s first thought was about the little shop! Fortunately, it had been moved a few days earlier, surviving the house incident!!
