Keep Calm and Carry On
June 3rd, 2009As you read this I will be in the midst of moving house, it’s pretty stressful and not something I’m enjoying. I’ve had to pack up my two dolls’ houses and put them into storage as we’re moving into a rented house. I hope to fish them out once we’re in a place of our own again.
As I often find though, real life has sparked my imagination for a miniature scene. I’m wondering about doing a 1950s set house with an expectant new family moving in. I’d just love to have one of those big trucks parked out side the house and lots of removal men in brown coats handling a few ‘delicate’ items in a not so delicate way whilst the new home owners look on.
Whilst I’m thinking about creating that scene in miniature, wondering where I’d find the characters, the truck and so on it takes my mind off my current stresses. So even though I can’t do anything dolls’ house related physically, in my mind I’m already on the next project and that puts a smile on my face.
