Create a symphony in miniature
July 15th, 2010
The piano is widely considered to be one of the most popular musical instruments in the world. Its origins can be traced back to the Middle Ages, but the invention of the modern piano is credited to Bartolomeo Cristofino (1655 – 1731) of Padua, Italy, who was employed by the Medici family as their Keeper of the Instruments. The exact date of Cristofino’s invention is not known, but the three Cristofino pianos that survive today date back to the 1720’s.
Apart from eventually being used by musical geniuses such as Bach and Mozart, the Grand Piano fast became ‘the’ ultimate accessory for well-to-do residences in the late 18th and early 19th Centuries to add a sense of elegance and grandeur.
If you too are looking to add a touch of opulence to your drawing room, but on a slightly smaller scale, then our Classical Grand Piano may be just what you need. Measuring 115mm x 127mm x 85mm, this piano is the epitome of elegance with ornate carvings and a matching upholstered piano stool, guaranteed to add a sense of magnificence to any miniature music room.
