Become the owner of a beautiful dolls’ house – and help raise money for Blythe House Hospice at the same time!

September 4th, 2010

Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak, provides free, individualised, holistic care and support for anyone in the High Peak living with cancer, or other serious, life threatening illnesses.   It offers a range of day care and home-based, group or individual services to clients, their carers, family and friends.

The Hospice relies on kind donations, in all shapes and sizes, and has recently been given a beautiful 1:12th scale dolls’ house.  However, they do not have the space to display the house, nor the time to give it the attention it deserves.  Because of this they have decided to sell the house to a loving home, with all the proceeds of the sale going straight back in to the Hospice.

This stunning Georgian-styled house, which has four floors and a roof terrace on the top floor, would not look out of place on the most exclusive, stylish Parisian or London street.  The house comes completely decorated and fully furnished, so you can just sit back and enjoy the house without any mess – unless you fancy doing a bit of renovation work!

If you are interested in buying this house, or would like further information, please contact either Lucy Marsden or Rachel Damms on 01298 815388.

I have been lucky enough to have seen this house and it is wonderful – it is decorated and fully furnished and certainly requires no renovation as your introduction implies. Of course there is room to squeeze in more miniature items if you so desire. The house was generously donated by a member of the Matlock Miniaturists Doll House Club and refurbished by other members. This is a small and very friendly group in need of new members, if you are interested please contact: jacoyne@hotmail.co.uk. We meet every third Tuesday evening in Matlock Bath. Transport may be available fron neighbouring areas.
