A Moroccan Fantasy in the middle of Derbyshire!
December 13th, 2010Bringing some Moroccan magic to the miniature world, the winner of The Dolls House Emporium’s Creative Competition 2010 is now on display at our shop in Ripley, Derbyshire. The beautiful Moroccan style getaway created by Viki McDonnell takes pride of place in the shop and comes complete with sand (although not from Morocco unfortunately!).
Made from our Village Hall kit, the main building has a pillared entrance to the side and a patio area to the front. The mosaic decoration on the patio was all hand-made by Viki, as were the cushions, benches, books and decorated chest on the roof garden. The interior of the building consists of a reception area together with a “tea-house” area. Both contain hand-made cushioned benches and cushions, together with a hand decorated ceiling and atmospheric lights.
The house will be on display until the end of January in our shop on High Holborn Road, Ripley, Derbyshire, so come and escape the snowy weather and melt in to Viki’s Moroccan fantasy for an afternoon!
