Burns Night in Miniature

March 9th, 2011

Whether or not you were fortunate enough to attend a Burns Night celebration this year, we’re sure you’ll find this loving recreation of a traditional Burns Supper fascinating.  It was created by Viki McDonnell whose Moroccan Fantasy was the winner of the 2010 Creative Competition.

This Burns Supper scene was actually Viki’s entry for the 2009 Creative Competition.  It wasn’t a winner but it’s still worth enjoying and we love the fantastic detail, particularly the haggis puddings and the image of Rabbie Burns himself on the bottles.

It’s also a timely reminder that now’s a good time to start thinking about your ideas for this year’s Creative Competition, details of which will be announced next month.  So get your thinking cap on and don’t be a ‘cow’rin, tim’rous beastie’ to quote from the famous Rabbie Burns’ poem, To a Mouse.
