Judy’s passion for miniature furniture

September 26th, 2011

In the world of dolls’ house enthusiasts, some people love making and decorating them, whilst others love collecting them.

For Judy Fuller of North Bend in Oregon, her passion is collecting miniature antique furniture and over the last 12 years she has assembled a remarkable collection.

Judy’s time at yard sales and auctions has been well spent and she has collected many fine examples of antique chairs and dining tables, each one of which is testament to the exquisite craftsmanship of miniature furniture makers.

The most valuable piece in Judy’s collection is an antique washing machine which has a metal body and a working agitator.

When asked what inspired her to begin collecting miniature antique furniture, Judy is refreshingly honest.  “I don’t know,” she said. “I just thought it was really cute stuff.”

If you live in the vicinity of North Bend, then you might be interested to know that Judy’s collection is currently on display at North Bend public library.
