The Pop-Out House – a different kind of dolls’ house

September 28th, 2011

Today, we thought you might be interested to hear about a lifesize dolls’ house created for a children’s store in Paris.

The Pop-Out House was designed by French architects Benjamin Mahon and Mut Architecture to sit within the store and was meant in their own words to be a house where you can “pull drawers out of, swing doors from” and be “a dolls’ house that lends itself to the imagination of children”.

As its name implies, the Pop-Out House works on the principle of literally popping-out with lots of storage boxes and even a pop-out ladder to climb.

As a playhouse for children, it looks great fun.
