100 year old dolls’ house to be sold for charity

October 25th, 2011

A dolls’ house thought to be over 100 years old is to be sold to raise money for a children’s charity.

Belonging to Rosemary Paton who lives in the Mitta Valley in Melbourne, Australia, the house was originally bought for her mother and is a white-walled, Tudor-style house which Rosemary and her sister played with as children.

“My sister had the right side,” Rosemary recalls, “and I had the left side.”

Sadly the house gathered dust for many years before Rosemary decided to put it to good use as a way of raising money for charity.

We share her hope that it finds a good home, as well as raising a lot of money.
