Dolls’ house enthusiasts raise money for charity

November 23rd, 2011

They say charity begins at home but these days it seems to start with dolls’ houses.

That’s certainly the case with Chester Dolls House and Miniature Club who have just handed over a cheque for £525 to the breast care unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

The money was raised from a two day exhibition they held and, according to club member, Rosemary Mason, “This is the most we have ever raised, and we were just overwhelmed with everybody’s generosity.”

Isn’t it great when you can combine an enthusiasm for your hobby with a commitment to good causes?
