Historic dolls’ house up for sale

December 8th, 2011

Serious collectors of historic dolls’ houses were no doubt made a beeline to Wexford in the Republic of Ireland for the recent auction of a historic dolls’ house dating back to late Victorian times.

According to an article in the Irish Times, the fully furnished house was made for the Earl of Courtown’s daughter by renowned British toymaker, Lines Bros and was expected to fetch up to 2,000 euros, which is an awful lot of money in any currency.

Who knows, your own dolls’ house might be worth that kind of sum in a hundred years! And it would be nice to think you had made a little bit of history for future generations to enjoy.
