Crowds flock to first major dolls’ house fair of 2012

January 13th, 2012

You don’t need us to tell you about the growing popularity of dolls’ houses…

Last weekend’s biannual Stafford Dolls’ House and Miniature Collectors Fair was further evidence of just how popular they have become.

Literally thousands of visitors flocked to Stafford County Showground and, according to the local Express and Star newspaper some stallholders said attendances seemed higher than last year.

The fair featured a total of 91 stalls, selling miniature handmade furniture and accessories and more exotic items like a delicately designed stained glass church window.

One even had a grisly scene from Frankenstein, complete with blood-stained sheet covering a body strapped to a wooden surgery table.

It’s always worth finding out about dolls’ house fairs in your own area.

They can be great fun and a real inspiration when you’re on the lookout for new ideas for your next miniature project.
