Dolls’ house will make hospital more child-friendly

January 18th, 2012

It’s no fun being in hospital and for children it can be even worse.

But thanks to toys like a giant dolls’ house and the work of a dedicated team of play specialists, it’s guaranteed to be a little bit more pleasurable at Kettering General Hospital.

With the opening of a new paediatric ward this summer, the hospital is running a Little Extras appeal to raise money for new games and toys to support the work of the play specialists.

And according to the local newspaper, the Northants Evening Telegraph, among the toys they’ve got their hearts set on is a giant dolls’ house which several children can play with at the same time.

Anything which makes time spent in hospital less traumatic has got to be a good thing and what could be better than a dolls’ house for a little spot of imaginative play.
