Dolls’ house features in performance art

January 27th, 2012

Songwriter Keaton Henson has an unusual way of overcoming his dislike of singing in front of people … and it involves a dolls’ house.

Keaton, 23, been creating quite a buzz, being featured as part of iTunes 12 Artists to Watch for in 2012 and his track being picked as Radio 1’s Single of the Week.

Fans visiting his new exhibition, ‘Gloaming’, will find a dolls’ house-type installation which allows one person at a time to insert their head into a hole in the front of the wooden house where they can see Keaton projected live into the beautifully decorated home from a neighbouring room.

It sounds a highly unconventional way of playing live – but then Keaton’s latest pop video features a puppet which commits suicide in a variety of different ways, so he is hardly your regular pop star.

You can read more about the exhibition on the Altsounds website and watch the video of the unfortunate puppet if you have a mind to.
