Bless this dolls’ house

February 14th, 2012

One of the most unusual donations ever given to a church must be the fully furnished, craft-made dolls’ house complete with a well tended garden recently donated to St Mary’s in Ely.

In an article on the Ely Standard website, a representative from the church describes the house as being

“lovingly made over many years…  Every minute detail is included, from framed pictures on the wall to curtains and soft furnishings. The furniture is also hand-made; there is everything from sofas and a TV, to a nursery full of toys, a rocking horse, and nursery chair.”

In the garden, there are shrubs and tiny people, along with a gazebo, a rabbit hutch and even a garden shed filled with tiny tools.

The church is selling the house to raise funds for a couple of building projects and they are hoping it goes to a good home.
