Toy Library says ‘Hello Possums’ to three new dolls’ houses
March 16th, 2012The Moonee Valley district of Melbourne, Australia, was once home to housewife superstar Dame Edna Everage and as a mother of three grown children, she would surely approve of the establishment of a toy library in her old stamping ground.
Founded at the end of last year by a group of parents, the Moonee Valley Toy Library aims to give children access to a variety of educational and fun toys.
These now include three expensive dollhouses which have just been donated to the library.
Talking to the local newspaper, the Moonee Valley Leader, library president, Debbie Williams, said, “We try to buy some of these big special pieces that not many people would be able to buy themselves.”
Great to see that Dame Edna isn’t the only housewife superstar in Melbourne and good luck to the Moonee Valley Toy Library in their superb endeavours.
