A group of architects from Tokyo, Japan, have come up with an unusual workstation that uses a dolls’ house as its inspiration.
The Koloro Desk is the work of Torafu Architects and consists of a large dolls’ house-size cube which sits on a desk-height table. It has opening windows on three sides with hatches that can act as shelves.
There is space for integral lighting and a round hole in the top to hold a plant pot, as well as a skylight.
You can see pictures of the Koloro Desk here.
It’s certainly a novel approach to designing a workstation and would be perfect for child’s bedroom. No excuses then for not getting the homework done!
