Dolls’ house club raises money for charity

March 29th, 2012

Last weekend saw the staging of a show by the West Glamorgan Dolls House and Miniatures Club at Swansea Museum – and the raising of much-needed funds for local charities.

Club members like to show off their skills in making dolls’ houses and all things miniature, from furnishings to food, and they exhibit all over the region.

As well as the Swansea exhibition, the club is staging shows in June at the National Botanic Garden of Wales in Llanarthne and in August at Margam Castle.

The club has raised £10,000 over the last 15 years for good causes, in particular Wales Air Ambulance which plays such a vital role in the community.

Dolls’ house enthusiast  Jessika Evans sums up their appeal when she tells the This is South Wales website, “It is such a fabulous hobby and we enjoy raising money for charity.”

Good for you, Jessika, and the rest of the West Glamorgan Dolls House and Miniatures Club.
