Celebrity dolls’ house enthusiast unmasked

April 16th, 2012

Most hobbies can usually claim the odd celebrity or two among its enthusiasts but not dolls’ houses, at least until now.

A bit of sleuth detecting by the Independent columnist, Rebecca Tyrell, has uncovered a most surprising builder of dolls’ houses – the actor Richard E Grant.

Richard is probably best known for his truly deranged performance in his film debut, ‘Withnail and I’, as well as his endearing portrayal of a single father in ‘Jack and Sarah’.

His outing as a dolls’ house enthusiast comes from Debrett’s People of Today, which lists his recreations as scuba diving, photography and building dolls’ houses.

It would be fascinating to see some of Richard’s work.  Needless to say, as a dolls’ house enthusiast, he is in the very best company and if you know of any other celebrities who share the same passion, then do let us know.
