Ireland – a natural home for dolls’ houses

May 28th, 2012

Once home to the world famous Titania’s Palace dolls’ house and now the almost equally famous Tara’s Palace, Ireland has long and illustrious associations with dolls’ houses right through to the present day.

So it’s no surprise that local dolls’ house and model exhibitions continue to draw enthusiastic crowds.

Only last month the second Clare Diecast and Model Show in Ennis drew hundreds of visitors who were delighted by the exhibits which included a variety of dolls’ houses and even an intricately detailed miniature recreation of a local railway station.

Speaking to the local newspaper, The Clare Champion, event organiser Brian Kavanagh said:

“A lot of people who went to the event didn’t know what to expect. They were blown away with all the displays and couldn’t get over what was produced on the day.  It was such a success we will have to go ahead with another event next year.”

Don’t forget to share your own experiences of any event you attend with the rest of DHE community.
