One entry to The Dolls House Emporium Creative Competition 2012 was made up of TWO houses!
In fact mother and daughter partnership Claudia and Janine Steinbrügge (17) created a holiday village from the two Corner Shops they had bought for the contest. They even got 12-year-old Caroline in to help out!
Claudia tells us: “Janine was given her first dollshouse to her 5th birthday. It was her “best“ for years.
“Since she was 15 and my other daughter Caroline turned 12 we collect ideas and create new dollshouses together.
“This year we saw the houses and think about to create a village for this competition.
“The idea for this village developed from a holiday in France.
“We like the landscape and we decided to built our holiday dream village where we would like to spent our holidays.”
Claudia says: “It has a little cafe where you can dance if you want or just enjoy your holiday with a cup of tea and a piece of lovely cake.
“The other house is a holiday cottage with a little garden for fresh salad and a sweet kitchen with a brickoven for baking our own bread.”
“We built the dollshouses as a family project. My children and I are very excited about this project.
“We hope that you can understand what we want to say because we are from Germany and our English is not the best!
“Thank you very much for the competiton. We really loved it to create these dolls’ houses.”
