Victorian Toy and Gift Shop takes shape in miniature

December 20th, 2012

Belgian-born Christel Famelaer decided on a Christmas theme for her Victorian Toy and Gift Shop – so we’ve been saving it up to show you in the run-up to the big day itself!

This model is based around The Corner Shop and was Christel’s entry to the 2012 Creative Competition.

Christel, from Middlesex, says: “I didn’t change much of the layout of this house.”

“However,” she adds, “I missed space for a bedroom and kitchen. So I added an extra wall in the top room to create three different spaces. The now separate bedroom, sitting room and dining area turn this place into a comfortable flat.

“By adding a removable courtyard I created an outdoor space for Toby the dog and his kennel. Under the staircase is a nice little kitchen.

“The bottom room became a spacious charming shop in a Christmas setting. The outside and roof have a lot of added details and made this project into a luxurious Victorian shop with flat.”
