The small but beautiful story of a dolls’ house shop

January 31st, 2013

The story behind a wonderful dolls house near London has been retold in the local newspaper – and gives an insight into what goes on behind the scenes.
Lyn Thompson set up Dolls House Parade in Chislehurst over 20 years ago after receiving her first dolls house as a gift from her husband John.

The hobby started after she’d had a baby and when the time came to go back to work she made the decision to open up her own shop.

Lyn tells the Bromley Times that her own hobby’s had to be put on a back-burner from time to time while she concentrates on the business, and talks about the online branch of the business too.

And she reveals that wallpapers she’s designed herself are on sale in the store.

Dolls House Parade also stocks Dolls House Emporium goodies, so if they’re your closest outlet you could get along to see some of our miniatures treats in the flesh, so to speak!
