The Edwardian home of Mr and Mrs Charles Fortescue-Witherspoon

February 27th, 2013

“There are few homes in Marlborough as grand and well appointed as the Edwardian home of Mr and Mrs Charles Fortescue-Witherspoon.”

So says the Marlborough Express, in New Zealand.

Why, I hear you ask? Well – of course – it’s because ex-pat Brit Sue Beardsworth has a beautiful display in The Manor House from The Dolls House Emporium.

It’s discontinued now but she’s done a great job keeping it in shape, including a conservatory and garden area.

There are 20 photos at the newspaper’s website, a lovely pictorial stroll through a house that’s been with her for more than 20 years.

Read the full story and take a look at those wonderful images… a few minutes well-spent, we think!
