Some of our online customers may have noticed that our main shopping website has been a little sluggish at busy periods lately.
We’re really sorry about this and for the inconvenience we know it is causing.
However, there’s good news as we’re working to upgrade both the website and its servers that host it.
As you’ll appreciate, this is a huge job as our website is quite intricate with lots of interlinking and a line-up of more than 2,500 products which are changing each month. Our web people are working flat out at Dolls’ House HQ to keep our product pages, video films and new pages up-to-date for you – as well as finding time to plan ahead and make those important changes for the future!
This means they are conducting a delicate balancing act to keep our old software going (so that you can continue to browse, shop, look up our hints, tips and info – as well as buy something!) while we’re getting the new software ready, testing it and making sure it’s ready to “hit the ground running”.
We realise this can be frustrating for customers, especially at busy times online, for which we apologise.
