Channel 4 television are looking for contributors to take part in an award winning documentary series looking at family life in the UK. The producers are very interested in talking to families who collect things - and in particular 1:12th scale dolls’ houses. They are looking to talk to families with children still in the home.

The Dolls House Emporium are delighted to be working with BBC television’s ‘DIY SOS’ programme, bringing Christmas joy to a Doncaster foster home this Christmas.

Foster mum Doreen has cared for around 50 children over many years, and lost everything in this year’s catastrophic floods. DIY SOS is coming to the rescue and is helping Doreen rebuild her shattered home and in the process will be creating a magical playroom with our fully painted and decorated Orchard House dolls’ house taking pride of place.

Don’t miss this heart-warming episode of the nation’s favourite DIY makeover show, due to be broadcast on December 27th.

We have got two fantastic collector’s mornings lined up for you at the Dolls House Emporium shop in Ripley.

On Saturday November 17th come along and join our fun kit building workshop, have a go, or just enjoy watching.

Then on Saturday December 1st we have an amazing mini gardening workshop where you can learn all the tricks of the trade, and enjoy creating your own mini arrangements, and unique Christmas decorations. Admission is free and the days are sure to be popular with collectors of all ages.
