A lot of our friends who have joined us along this dolls’ house path have sent lovely messages of congratulations and some interesting product ideas for the team to mull over.

Possibly the best known, most recognised dolls’ house design in the world is The Classical Dolls’ House from The Dolls House Emporium. With it’s iconic central staircase and six room layout, it’s the dolls’ house that little girls dream of. Created over 25 years ago and still being sold today, it’s longevity is the true hallmark of it’s success. Often copied, never bettered, we love it as much as you do.
Do you own a Classical dolls’ house? Tell us about your house and what you’ve created here, we’d love to hear from you.
This month’s 30th Anniversary Plate features The Country Store. This house was a big departure for The Dolls House Emporium, being the first purpose designed 1:12 scale shop that the company had done. It was produced for 16 years before being discontinued in 2005 and was extremely popular as it lent itself to a number of different styles.
Over the years it’s been the inspiration behind creations such as pubs, general stores, cake shops, bridal shops and a myriad of tea rooms. Do you own a Country Store? Do tell us about your house and what you’ve done with it, we’d love to hear from you.
As we’re sure most of you are aware now, The Dolls House Emporium® is celebrating its 30th year in business this year. As part of this momentous celebration, we’re offering you the chance to put your questions to Jackie Lee, the company’s founder and Managing Director.
Each month throughout 2009 we’ll be celebrating turning 30 by offering you a FREE anniversary plate with all orders over £25. This month’s plate features the ‘Tudor’, the house that started off this great adventure that we are still on today. A family friend of Jackie’s designed and built the house (it took him a year to do it!) and that sparked the initial idea to start The Dolls House Emporium.
In February there will be another plate to collect and once you have completed your collection in December you’ll also receive a lovely FREE dresser to display them all on.
So help us celebrate 30 years in this fantastical and magical miniature world! You can also leave your messages for us here, we’d love to hear your memories.
