Anyone who has ever dreamed of being a ‘Gibson Girl‘, you can now own one in 1:12 scale, or you can from September at least.  Miss Gibson would make any late Victorian setting a real treat.

Want that archetypal Victorian look? Velvet curtains are a must then!

For something which spans the years and doesn’t look of of place in a modern miniature scene, September will see a new set of Cornishware available, to dress all those country kitchen scenes. More sneak peeks soon!

Well now, here’s a little teaser of some of the things you can expect to see in our new catalogue. We’ve been promising this for a while but now we’ve actually got the catalogue production out of the way we have the time to peruse and choose a few pieces for you to see.

This charming ‘wicker’ chair and matching sofa would be the perfect complement to a conservatory or sun lounge and would look great along with the strawberry plant in a pot next to them, just imagine, you can sit in your favourite chair and pick at the strawberries!

Well it’s exciting times for us here at The Dolls House Emporium, on Friday last week we sent off our catalogue to the printers. Now we have the nail biting wait until it comes back to us in early August. We know that a lot of you are on stand by for the sound of it hitting your door mat in September and we do sympathise, oh the agony of waiting! As soon as we have more news we’ll let you know.

Last week we told you we were plowing into the new catalogue production and today we’re able to bring you some pictures of the process in action.

This first one is our photographic team working on a ‘festive’ photograph, including snow! Yes, to us Christmas happens all year round!

And this next one is of the catalogue pages coming together and being discussed by our graphics and product marketing team.

As the process progresses we’ll try to keep you up to date on this great creative project.

… easy, or so the famous song goes. Well here at Dolls House HQ, we’re looking out of the windows at the sun and dreaming of picnics on the grass whilst our heads are buried in new photography for our September 2009 catalogue. Would you believe that we’re working on it already?!

This part of the process is very exciting, it’s the first time a lot of us get to see the new products ‘in situ’ so to speak and the room sets do look beautiful. Once all the photographs are done there’s a lot of editing to (removing wires and the like) and then our graphics team can start the long process of collating all the pages (over 200 again this year!) to create our new catalogue.

As ever the blog and the forum will be the first places to hear about our progress on this annual adventure so stay close by for updates!
