Another brush with Royalty
Tuesday, July 12th, 2011Hi Mini here.
Well this year has just been one lovely occasion after another. First there was the Royal Wedding and what a special day that was. Then Mr Mischief took me to Royal Ascot and then he surprised me with a trip to Henley to join in the Royal Regatta.
All these Royal events we’ve been attending has certainly begun to influence my thinking in decorating. I’m definitely toying with a red, white and blue theme for my lounge and I’ve even worked out what music I’ll be playing while wielding a paintbrush. Queen, of course. All together now, ‘Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the fandango…’
Hooray for Ladies’ Day
Wednesday, June 8th, 2011Hi, Mini here.
I’m so excited. After months of dropping very unsubtle hints to Mr M that I would love to go to Ladies’ Day at Ascot, he announced yesterday that we’re going. I really can’t wait. As soon as I heard, I went flying upstairs and went rifling through my wardrobe to see if there was anything remotely suitable to wear. Of course, you can guess the answer!
So it’s a new outfit for me complete with matching hat, handbag and shoes – and a new wardrobe to put them in. I’ve already checked out what I want from the wonderful selection available in the warehouse here at DHE.
Oh, don’t you just love spending someone else’s money and if we win big at the races, well I can buy even more!
Will and Kate’s Wedding Crashers!
Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011Hi Mini here!
Well, wasn’t it a lovely day for the happy couple? Didn’t Kate look radiant in her fabulous wedding dress, even Mr. Mischief was impressed. Although when he said Kate had waved directly at him, I told him not to be so stupid, given that we were standing in a crowd of thousands. He really can be a most exasperating man sometimes and I still haven’t forgiven him for his miserably small Easter egg. He’s got a lot of making up to do, starting with the new dolls’ house I made him buy me. He can start assembling it as soon as we get back!
I bet Will and Kate won’t have any such domestic tiffs and didn’t they look made for each other. Wonderful, simply wonderful and I’m so glad I was there to be part of it. Good luck to them both.
Eggs-citing times ahead!
Tuesday, April 26th, 2011Out of the frying pan… and onto the ceiling!
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011Hi Y’all! MM here, I’ve snuck in again sssssh!
Someone reminded me that it’s Shrove Tuesday on 8th March and it got me thinking about tossing a few pancakes – until I remembered what happened last year, the results of which can still be seen in several dark and ugly stains on the ceiling and walls of my kitchen!
So this year, instead of redecorating the kitchen with pancakes, I think I’m going to try a new wallpaper. There’s a fantastic choice on the website with lots of lovely new patterns and the results should be a lot more appetising than my pancakes turned out to be! If only they were in ‘full size’ to do my kitchen instead of my dolls’ house kitchen!
