Guest room so far…

Guest room

The Guest Room so far.  Still tons of work to do.  I used spray texture on the walls and painted them the same pale peach of the exterior of the house.  This will be accented with light ivory wood trim and ceiling decorations.  The furniture is from the Empire Bedroom set by Bespaq.  I have one more bed coming to go on the other side of the fireplace from the other one.  The fireplace is by Braxton Payne.

Living room so far…

Living room

Here’s the Livingroom as it is so far.  The floor is made from fieldstone tiles that I hope to be selling at my website, All Things Mini, sometime soon.  I just love how they look because I wanted something a little bit different than the usual hardwood or carpeting in this room.

I ran out of crown moulding as you’ll notice, but have more on order.  The resin appliques on the lower part of the walls are from DHE.  The fireplace is by Braxton Payne and the two tables are Bespaq.  The sofa and chairs will be ordered from DHE and the glass vases are from Norms Dollhouse.  I’ll be putting up a bunch of artwork on the walls once I’ve casted all the picture frames.

Foyer floor

Foyer floor

I finally made up my mind on the foyer floor.  I ripped out all the marble tiles and replaced them with fieldstone tiles and I like this sooo much better.  They look very good with the deep wood color of the stairs and doors.  This look is carried over into the Livingroom.

Cassie once again makes her appearance and gives her vote of approval.  The crystal light fixture is a prototype that I’ll be making a few more fixtures from and the side-by-side Victorian Secretary is a retired piece by Bespaq.

Slate roofing tiles

Roofing tiles

I couldn’t resist experimenting with the new slate roofing tiles I just got. I think they look fantastic with the house color and they really give the roof a unique look. I’ll be ordering some brick paper from DHE to cover the chimneys in.

The Library

The Library

And here’s my first semi-finished room…the Library. There’s still a LOT more work to do to finish it; mainly accessories. I still need to add the artwork on the walls and various other items I feel are essential to its overall look. But at least you will now have an idea of where I’m headed.

The fireplace and bookcase were handmade by me. The upper portion of the walls are made from the faux plaster method I teach in the All Things Mini forum, and the bottom panelled portion is also handmade and stained in Rosewood. The leather books (one on the table and a few behind the left chair) are handmade by my friend Lisa Neault. Cassie, the house dog, sits in the middle of the room.
