The Music room

Music room

The Music Room.  I’m not very far on this room yet, but it’s coming together.  I used some wallpaper I got from Hobby Lobby.  For the crown moulding, I separated the border section from the wallpaper and used it as a separate piece.  The bottom edge of the crown is chair rail moulding and the top is regular crown.  The shallow niche at the back of the room will feature a large oil painting, over the Bespaq Gothic Revival Console, of a little girl playing the piano.

The piano in the picture I already had on hand.  It’s one of my favorite pieces of furniture because it really plays music…it’s a music box.  The white chimney breast to the right of the room will have its own fireplace.

Rooftop

Roof top

Here’s a partial rooftop shot showing the slate roofing tiles that are now available through me.  I think they look stunning with the color and style of this house.  I’m looking forward to finishing up the chimneys once I order the paper I want from DHE.

I’m extremely pleased with the wood trimwork that DHE provides with this kit.  The detailing is beautiful and unlike any other kit I’ve seen.

The dining room

Dining room

The Dining Room at 80% finished.  Still plenty of artwork to add and maybe a couple of smaller furniture elements.  I apologize for the photo being slightly crooked.  Once the room is finished, a much better photo will be taken.

The furniture is Bespaq and the mantel and flowers are from my local mini shop, Norms Dollhouse.  Porcelain dinnerware by Ruetter Porcelain.  The coffered ceiling I finished making this morning really sets off this room.  There are more photos in the Album section.

Yesterday, I went through a few boxes of mini treasures I had packed away and was very pleased to see that I have many goodies to use in this house.  A lot of it I haven’t seen in many, many months and it was almost like Christmas morning when I unwrapped one forgotten piece after another.

I’ve created several blog entries this time around; dating back to January 31st.  So make sure you see it all!

Master suite so far…

Master suite

The Master Suite so far.  After a lot of thought, I’ve decided I don’t like this wallpaper, so I’ll be ripping it out and replacing it with something else I found this weekend.  The fireplace is by Braxton Payne and the furniture is the Milady’s Boudoir set by Bespaq.

The box is a French Bed kit I’ve had on hand for a very long time and thought it would be perfect for this room.

Guest room

The Guest Room so far.  Still tons of work to do.  I used spray texture on the walls and painted them the same pale peach of the exterior of the house.  This will be accented with light ivory wood trim and ceiling decorations.  The furniture is from the Empire Bedroom set by Bespaq.  I have one more bed coming to go on the other side of the fireplace from the other one.  The fireplace is by Braxton Payne.
