The dining room and entry hall…

Grimmauld Place Build - Posted on September 19th, 2008 by Marie

Here are the beginnings of the entry hall and dining room. I still need to work on the wallpaper so that it appears to be peeling and such. The floors were done in an Ebony stain, as well as the baseboards, crown moulding and door.   A chair rail will also be added and ‘maybe’ a fireplace.

Very thrilling project! It is interstingto built a miniature from a description in a novel or a film. Will you add weird decorations like bizarre statues and painting hanging from the wall? I like your umbrella holder. Maybe if necessary You can ad a dusty touch by spraying thin liquid paint on the walls and furniture. BUT test it first on samples!
For my own part I have been working on Sherlock Holmes 221b siting room. then on another place of th sherlockian saga. Using Dr Watson descriptions (!) and films sets.
    Excuse my english…
