Dolls House Magazine calls for your creative juices to get flowing!

Posted on March 15th, 2010 by louise

The Dolls House Emporium’s famous Creative Competition takes centre stage in this month’s Dolls House Magazine, as it calls for you all to get your kits out!

The traditional Village Hall is the focus of the 2010 competition.  With its removable bell tower and detachable porch this kit provides the perfect base on which to build your vision.   Village halls can be used in a number of ways from a meeting place for the brownies, cubs or WI, to a venue for wedding receptions, bring-and-buy sales and birthday parties.  Alternatively, you may want to create a completely different building – the choice is yours and possibilities are endless.

Anyone can enter, so to get those creative juices flowing simply visit www.dollshouse.co.uk/create.

Prince Charming!

On the same page, Dolls House Magazine is giving you the chance to win £25 worth of charms from The Dolls House Emporium – now who wouldn’t want to win that?

Add a little Regency Romance to your house

Posted on March 12th, 2010 by louise

Taking inspiration from stunning historic houses around the UK, Dolls House Magazine has recreated a number of remarkable rooms in 1:12th scale and this month it is helping you bring a regency library to life in it’s ‘Get the Look feature’.

From the gorgeous globes and writing desk; to the beautiful ‘leather’ bound books and real redwood flooring from The Dolls House Emporium, you really can inject a little Regency romance in to your house and create a room that any book lover would be proud to call their own.

The making of a Mimosa Cottage!

Posted on March 10th, 2010 by louise

As the perfect present for her daughter’s birthday, Melanie Beck, decided to buy a traditional dolls’ house.  Personally, we think this is a fantastic choice.  Not only is it a present that her daughter can keep and add to over the years, decorating each room, adding furniture and other miniatures that will help develop her creative instincts and stimulate her imagination, but it will also give mum a bit more free time!

Melanie chose the beautiful Mimosa Cottage from The Dolls House Emporium, in QuickStyle, which means the exterior of the house is fully decorated and the interior walls are plain white – you simply have to select your décor and assemble it!  Luckily for us, Melanie recorded her first house building experience in the April issue of Dolls House Magazine.  Hopefully this will inspire everyone out there to get building!

We have to say you did a fantastic job, Melanie, and we hope your daughter loves it!
