A wealth of dolls’ house items, from dolls and tables to teapots and cakes, were used to create a dazzling display for the London department store, themed around the wacky tale of Alice in Wonderland. The miniatures were supplied by The Dolls House Emporium.
Freelance window dresser Kathryn Jackson used the pieces, including tea sets, chairs, cutlery and mirrors, to build models of the Mad Hatter, his tea party and his companions. The March Hare was created using tea cups, teapots and milk jugs, and the grinning Cheshire Cat was given 1:12 scale knives and forks as claws.
The fantastic display was on show in the Brompton Road window of the store for six weeks until the middle of May.
“Harrods window displays have always been spectacular and it is fantastic that The Dolls House Emporium has been able to help in creating this Alice In Wonderland inspired window. The way our products have been used is also fascinating and completely in line wit the nonsensical nature of the story itself,” said Jackie Lee, Managing Director of The Dolls House Emporium.
