Dolls’ house mishaps – your stories!
Friday, May 18th, 2012Yesterday we asked Dolls House Emporium facebook fans if they had ever fallen onto their dolls’ house – and how it happened! (more…)
Dolls’ houses – a hobby without frontiers
Thursday, July 21st, 2011Yet more evidence of the worldwide appeal of dolls’ houses comes from Taiwan in East Asia. In the capital city of Taipei can be found the Miniature Museum of Taiwan, the first of its kind in Asia. The Museum boasts over 200 life-like miniatures built to a scale of 1:12 and the collection even includes a miniature Buckingham Palace which took three years to complete.
Fair play
Friday, May 27th, 2011We know how many of you enjoy visiting dolls’ house fairs that are regularly held at venues around the country. It’s always worth sharing your thoughts with fellow enthusiasts via the forum and facebook, as well as alerting others to upcoming fairs that they might be interested in. We know, for example, that there is a fair at York racecourse on Sunday 5th June 2011 which you might want to check out if you live nearby. Of course, if it’s fabulous products you’re looking for, then you only have to check out the hundreds of accessories, furniture and so much more on the main website.

We also hope that it will allow them to add more sparkle and functionality in the future.
Whilst the website is down, why not join us on facebook, twitter and even on our very own forum to talk about this great hobby!

Fans and Followers
Saturday, June 20th, 2009Social Media. Two not very big words which mean a whole world of interest on the internet. Some of you will know that The Dolls House Emporium now has a fan page on Facebook and that we also ‘tweet’ a couple of times a day on Twitter. Both these sites allow us to converse with you, our customer, in a way we haven’t been able to before. Rather than us (and most other retailers) in the past saying ‘Here’s what we’ve got, come and buy it’, you are now in a position to say ‘Actually can you do it like this, deliver it on Friday and what if it doesn’t fit after all?’ and we can react accordingly.
This is awesome.
The possibilities for these mediums to allow a better relationship between all customers and all companies are unprecedented. Eventually I believe it will lead to much greater consumer power and for the good companies out there, that won’t be a problem.
It’s going to be a very interesting journey along the way, I am sure it will be fraught with danger and excitement. So become a fan and/or a follower, engage with us, talk to us, we’re listening! I hope many more of you will join us!
